Canadian PM Carney calls for ‘forge partnerships’ with Indian business leaders, kicks off 4-day tour

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Mumbai on Friday, beginning a four-day visit to India. He will also travel to New Delhi on March 1 and hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 2, according to the official schedule. The Canadian PM made a statement on X, hailing India as he landed in Mumbai saying, "India is the world’s fastest-growing major economy. We just arrived in Mumbai to meet with business leaders — and forge partnerships that will unlock new opportunities for Canadian workers and businesses."
