Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren campaigned for TMC candidates in the Jungle Mahal region, addressing multiple rallies. On Friday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav spent the day campaigning through rallies and roadshows in support of the Trinamool Congress.
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to visit the state on Sunday and Monday to campaign for TMC candidates. SP leader Akhilesh Yadav has also extended his support to Mamata Banerjee and is likely to visit the state.
These regional parties have rallied behind the TMC with the broader aim of preventing the BJP's expansion in West Bengal. With AAP and RJD having lost Assembly elections last year, the opposition's momentum is seen as closely tied to the TMC's performance in the state.
However, the Congress, the leading party of the INDIA bloc, is contesting the elections independently, with its leaders campaigning for party candidates.
