Huge crowds thronged the streets as Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a BJP road show in Bengaluru on Saturday evening, after holding three rallies in the state. Karnataka goes to assembly polls on May 10.

The 90-minute road show covered three assembly constituencies falling in Bengaluru North Lok Sabha seat. Local MP DV Sadananda Gowda and MLC Chalavadi Narayanaswamy accompanied him.

The crowds cheered for the PM showering him with flowers, while artists performed to a drum sequence along the 5 km route.


Modi will hold rallies in Kolar, Ramanagara and Hassan districts on Sunday, and will wrap up the day's campaigning with a 5 km road show in Mysuru in the evening. The BJP has been fielding its star campaigner heavily in this election, with Modi expected to hold rallies right up to April 7.
