'Let us go for a run and see who is tired': Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's challenge to PM Modi
Karnataka elections: Siddaramaiah's challenge comes after PM Modi at an election rally said that the Congress leader was seeking votes in the name of his retirement from active politics.

Congress leader and former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi "for a run and see who is tired." His response comes after PM Modi recently took a swipe at former Siddaramaiah saying that the Congress leader was seeking votes in the name of his retirement from active politics. 75-year-old Siddaramaiah recently announced that this will be his last election and he would not contest polls anymore.
"A Congress leader is seeking votes in the name of their retirement. His biggest poll plank is: 'This is my last election. Give me a chance. What a pathetic state they have reached!" PM Modi said in an election rally.
Karnataka goes to the polls on May 10 and the counting of votes is scheduled on May 13. Siddaramaiah in his tweet also shared a video of he and and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi running during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
"Let us, you & me, go for a run & see who is tired. I will serve my people till my last breath," Siddaramaiah said in his tweet.
Did you, Mr @narendramodi, remove @BSYBJP as CM because he was tired? And then you begged him to campaign for you in the elections.

The ruling BJP has come down heavily on the Congress over remarks made by Opposition leader Siddaramaiah and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge surprised everyone with his remarks of comparing PM Modi to a poisonous snake though he withdrew his statement. Siddaramaiah during a recent campaign stated that Lingayat chief ministers indulged in corruption and destroyed the state. Though Siddaramaiah clarified that his statement was meant only for current Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, a controversy was stirred.
