Karnataka Polls: Congress third list out for Karnataka, Siddaramaiah denied second seat
The former CM had asked for a second seat in Kolar, but the party has instead named former MLA Kothur Manjunath. As a result, Siddaramaiah will contest only from Varuna in Mysuru, a seat held by his son Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah.

The party has fielded former BJP deputy CM Laxman Savadi from Athani in Belagavi district. Savadi had joined the Congress only on Friday.
He will now take on BJP’s Mahesh Kumthalli. The two had faced off each other in 2018 also, but have swapped parties this time.
KM Shivalinge Gowda, who was the sitting JDS MLA from Arasikere in Hassan district, will contest from the Congress this time.
With Saturday's list, the Congress has announced candidates for 209 seats. The party has not taken a decision on 15 seats as it is said to be talking to some strong candidates from the rival parties.
The BJP has announced names for 212 seats and the JDS for 143 seats. Karnataka will go for assembly polls on May 10.
