Tej Pratap Yadav to contest Bihar elections from Mahua as an independent candidate
Tej Pratap Yadav, recently expelled from the RJD by his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, has announced his intention to contest the upcoming Bihar election as an independent candidate from Mahua. He expressed confidence that Nitish Kumar would not return...

Tej Pratap was expelled from the party by his father and chief Lalu Prasad Yadav last month after making public his 12-year long relationship in a social media post, only to later claim that his account was hacked. Lalu Yadav also disowned his elder son from the family.
"We will contest the election from Mahua; there are many opponents, they have started to feel the itch," he said.
Tej Pratap was also confident that Nitish Kumar would not return as the chief minister of Bihar. "Team Tej Pratap Yadav is a platform to reach the people... This time, Uncle (Nitish Kumar) will not become the Chief Minister. Whoever's government is formed, if they talk about youth, employment, education, and health, Tej Pratap Yadav will stand with them with full strength," he said.
He had earlier alleged that a few people from RJD had conspired to remove him out of the party, adding that he would reveal the names of those people.
