JDU declares nominees for all 101 seats in Bihar assembly polls

The party has focused on its core vote base of backward and extremely backward classes in ticket distribution. Out of 101, 74 candidates belong to these categories. Among OBCs and EBCs, 25 tickets have been given to the Lav-Kush (Kurmi-Kushwaha) community, the category considered to be backing chief minister Nitish Kumar.
The party has also given tickets to 22 upper caste candidates, four Muslims and a Scheduled Tribe. Barring a few, the party has repeated all MLAs.
The two RJD turncoats, Chetan Anand and Vibha Devi, have also been accommodated. Chetan Anand, son of former MP Anand Mohan, won 2020 polls on an RJD ticket from Sheohar. JDU has fielded him from Nabinagar in the Magadh-Shahabad region. JDU has left two sitting seats Tarapur and Parbatta for BJP and LJP(R).
Two former MPs have also got a chance - Chandreshwar Chandravanshi from Jehanabad and Shailesh Kumar from Gopalpur. In Matihani, the party has fielded LJP rebel Raj Kumar Singh. JDU has named Kaladhar Mandal from Rupauli. In Dumraon, it has given a ticket to Rahul Singh, brother of Delhi health minister Pankaj Singh.
