NEW DELHI: Apparently unhappy with the delay in the seat sharing arrangement within the RJD-headed grand alliance, CPI-ML has released a list of its candidates for 30 assembly seats of Bihar on Wednesday evening.

However, the party continues its talks for seat sharing arrangement with the RJD.

“We are ready to accept even 20 seats as our share from the RJD. But, the seats which are offered to us are not located in the districts where our party enjoys a good support base,” a source in the CPI-ML said.


CPI-ML wants to contest assembly seats located in the districts such as Patna, Auraganabad, Jehanabad, Gaya, Buxar and Nalanda. “RJD is not ready to offer seats in these districts,” the source further added.

When contacted, CPI-ML’ state secretary Kunal said the party has released a list of 30 candidates in view of the public respect. To a question, he confirmed the party is still hopeful for its seat sharing arrangement with RJD.

The 30 assembly constituencies for which the party has announced its candidates include Tararu, Agiaon, Phulwarisharif, Jagdishpur, Karakat, Obra, Arwal, Ziradei, Islampur, Hayaghat and Dumraon.
