BJP sets up election war room in Bihar to channelise campaign
With Bihar assembly elections approaching, BJP has established a war room led by Rohan Gupta to spearhead their campaign. Around 135-150 volunteers are contacting booth-level workers to gather voter details and assist with new voter registration. ...

Sources told ET that around 135 to 150 volunteers have been hired by the party who have started working at the call centre set up by the party in the war room. The volunteers have started making calls to booth and mandal-level workers seeking important details and voter profile.
In the first phase, the workers are being asked to check the new voters and help them get registered in the state voters' list. Calls are also being made from the war room to workers of the area where a large rally or public meeting is scheduled.
Sources said feedback on the ground situation and on probable NDA candidates are being collected, starting from the booth level to district level workers.
After a month, the call centre will focus on reaching out to the beneficiaries of the government schemes and will also expand their base among the women voters. Apart from that, senior state BJP leaders are also collecting feedback from the ground.
BJP state general secretary (organisation) Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya is personally visiting all assembly constituencies and assessing the ground situation. After the plane crash in Ahmedabad, his programmes were called off. However, it will resume soon.
There is also a talk of exchange of seats among NDA allies. BJP may demand some of the seats from the allies which they have not been able to win for the past three elections and in exchange it can offer seats where the allies have a better winning chance.
