Bihar Election Result 2025: From Raju Tiwari to Sanjay Kumar Singh, check full list of winners from Lok Janshakti Party

The counting of votes for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections concluded today (November 14). The two-phase election was seen as a major test for JD(U) chief and the state’s longest-serving Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, whose political standing came under pressure due to shifting alliances and rising anti-incumbency. The Mahagathbandhan had projected RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate.

LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan and his party secured a total of 19 seats, with his party contesting as part of the NDA alliance.

How the counting progressed

The counting process began at 8 a.m., with officials first taking up postal ballots as per Election Commission of India guidelines. About half an hour later, the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were opened under tight security and continuous surveillance.

The EVMs had been kept in strongrooms with a double-lock security system, guarded round-the-clock by central forces and monitored through CCTV cameras. Initial trends started coming in by midday, while complete results became clearer by evening.
