Bihar Assembly Elections: NDA to launch campaign with Modi, Nitish rallies
On October 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up to rally support in Bihar, making stops in Begusarai and Samastipur. Meanwhile, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar kicks off his campaign on October 21 with rallies in Minapur and Kanti, M...

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is also all set to kickstart his election campaign officially from October 21 with two public rallies in Minapur and Kanti assembly constituencies of Muzaffarpur. The two constituencies have been selected carefully for the CM to start the campaign as JDU is contesting elections from both the seats. Minapur was won by JDU in 2005 and 2010. In 2015, the seat went to the RJD in alliance and since then RJD has been winning the seat. In 2020 assembly elections, JDU contested the seat but due to LJP (RV), the party couldn't win the seat. This time, JDU has fielded Ajay Kushwaha from the seat against RJD's MLA Munna Yadav. With his first rally in Minapur, Kumar wants to send out a message among the JDU cadre and the vote base.
Similarly, Kanti is another significant seat in Muzaffarpur where RJD candidate Israil Mansuri defeated JDU candidate Mohammad Jamal in 2020. This time, JDU has fielded Ajit Kumar on the seat who contested as an independent in 2020 and stood second. Being an industrial belt, this becomes a prestige seat for the NDA and especially the JDU. With this, Kumar will begin to address at least two rallies every day covering two districts of the state.
