Bihar CEO on Friday urged urban voters to actively take part in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and submit their enumeration forms.

While about 77% of forms have been collected from rural areas, urban coverage remains lower at 60-65%, the CEO's office said in a July 12 press note. It added that while forms have been distributed across all segments, many urban submissions are still pending.

For instance, Digha has recorded 64% form submission, Kumhrar 67%, and Gaya Town 69%. Some urban areas have crossed 70%, including Bankipur (72%), Patna Sahib (74.21%), Danapur (73%), Bhagalpur Town (71%), and Muzaffarpur Town (70%), the statement said.

The CEO clarified that voters without necessary documents should still submit their forms right away to ensure inclusion in the draft electoral roll, set to be published on August 1, 2025. Supporting documents can be submitted separately to Booth Level Officers during the claims and objections period from August 1 to August 30, 2025.

The ECI reiterated this in a statement on Saturday: "To get their names included in the draft electoral rolls to be published on August 1, electors must submit their enumeration forms, preferably along with eligibility documents. If more time is needed, the documents can be submitted separately till August 30-the last date for filing claims and objections. Volunteers are also available to assist."

Later in the day, the ECI said forms had been collected from 6.32 crore electors, covering 80.11% of Bihar's total 7.89 crore electorate.
