Veefin Group appoints CHRO and CBMO

Veefin Group, a Mumbai-based supply chain financing and working capital software venture, has appointed Gitesh Karnik as its chief human resources officer (CHRO) and Saurabh Kanwar as the chief brand and marketing officer (CBMO).

In his new role, Karnik will focus on optimising HR strategies to enhance employee engagement and performance while Kanwar will focus on elevating the group’s brand presence and drive marketing initiatives.

“Their extensive experience and proven track record in their respective fields will be imperative as we continue to innovate and expand our offerings across the ecosystem,” said Raja Debnath, chairman and cofounder of Veefin Group of Companies. “With these appointments, we are further strengthening two key pillars of our growth–brand and talent.”


Kanwar has worked with media companies like Star, Viacom and Disney.

Karnik has more than two decades of experience and will be responsible for driving human resources transformation and talent strategy across the group. He has held important positions like chief people officer at leading fintech companies and senior HR roles with Tata Capital and Magma Fincorp.

According to a company press release, Karnik’s expertise spans designing performance frameworks, building high-engagement workplaces, and leading strategic HR initiatives.
