Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

Chennai Petro, MRPL, Global Education, Time Technoplast and Khandwala Sec, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:39AM.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Chennai Petro, MRPL, Global Education, Time Technoplast and Khandwala Sec, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:39AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 153.45 points to 16416.1 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Debock Sales & Mktg, Shyam Telecom, Medico Remedies, Ramco Cements and Xelpmoc Design, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 10 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 40 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, Coal India Ltd, NTPC, BPCL and Bajaj Auto were among top gainers, while Dr. Reddys, Titan Company, UltraTech Cem., HUL and Asian Paints traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 557.83 points down at 55117.49 at 10:39AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Gas & Petroleum, Rubber, Mining and Defence sectors, while selling was visible in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Gems and Jewellery sectors.
