Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: TVS Motor(Rs. 279.54 crore), Gujarat Fluorochem(Rs. 255.87 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 113.60 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 88.60 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su(Rs. 75.79 crore), Capri Global(Rs. 59.28 crore), RIL(Rs. 56.22 crore), Biocon(Rs. 55.73 crore), Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd.(Rs. 47.78 crore) and PNB(Rs. 47.61 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 4.95 points up at 18701.05, while BSE Sensex fell 33.9 points to 62834.6.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 4.36 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.44 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
