Stocks that hit fresh 52-week high and low in today's trade

NEW DELHI: The benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 52.45 points up at 8655.20 around 12.25 pm (IST) on Friday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters amid mixed global cues.

During the day, Poddar Pigments, Remsons Ind, Pitti Lamination, Adani Enterpr., Goldstone Infra, HOV Services, Visa Steel Ltd, Lumax Ind, Oil Country Tub, Jindal Stainless hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE.

However, stocks such as Birla Cotsyn, Raj Rayon, High Ground Ent, Mazda Ltd, FCS Software, Gammon Infra, Nitesh Estates, Shekhawati Poly, Rasoya Proteins touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 36 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 15 were in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, BHEL, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank and HDFC were among top gainers around the same time, while Bosch, Wipro, Lupin, ITC, HUL and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among major losers in the index.

The BSE Sensex was up 203.49 points at 27911.63.

Traders were seen piling up position in electronics, beverages - alcoholic, telecommunications, petrochemicals, gems and jewellery, power, infrastructure and shipping, while selling were visible in packaging, iron and steel, glass, rubber, engineering, textiles, auto and plastics sectors.
