Share market update: PSU bank shares down; PNB dips 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Monday's session.

Shares of Punjab & Sind Bank (down 4.04 per cent), Indian Overseas Bank (down 2.07 per cent), J & K Bank (down 1.92 per cent), UCO Bank (down 1.69 per cent), Canara Bank (down 1.25 per cent), Punjab National Bank (down 1.2 per cent), State Bank of India (down 0.54 per cent) and Indian Bank (down 0.43 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.54 per cent down at 1165.6 around 02:22PM .


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 47.00 points at 9298.5 , while the BSE Sensex was up 138.18 points at 31780.88 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Motherson Sumi, SBI, Ashok Leyland, RBL Bank Ltd., Zee Ent., Vedanta and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
