Share market update: IT shares mixed; HCL Tech up nearly 1%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's session.

Shares of HCL Technologies (up 0.46 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 0.38 per cent) , Info Edge (India) (up 0.26 per cent) and Mindtree (up 0.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While MPhasis (down 1.9 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (down 0.64 per cent) , Just Dial (down 0.58 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 0.33 per cent) , Wipro (down 0.27 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.04 per cent down at 14762.2 around 12:01PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 36.65 points at 10349.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 119.76 points at 35081.28.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, BEL, SAIL, Ashok Leyland, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, SBI and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
