Share market update: Auto shares gain; Maruti Suzuki rises 2%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the green in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Bosch (up 2.36 per cent) , Maruti Suzuki (up 1.92 per cent) , Amara Raja Batteries (up 1.82 per cent) , MRF (up 1.54 per cent) , Bharat Forge (up 1.31 per cent) , Exide Industries (up 1.15 per cent) , Motherson Sumi Systems (up 1.15 per cent) , Eicher Motors (up 1.02 per cent) , Hero MotoCorp (up 0.78 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra (up 0.62 per cent) , TVS Motor Company (up 0.5 per cent) , Apollo Tyres (up 0.28 per cent) and Tata Motors (up 0.1 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.9 per cent up at 6705.9 around 11:46AM.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 31.45 points at 10343.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 93.06 points at 35054.58.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BEL, BHEL, SAIL, Tata Steel, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
