Market Now: RIL, Yes Bank most active stocks in terms of value

NEW DELHI: Shares of Reliance Industries (Rs 177.08 crore) emerged as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in Tuesday's early trade after the bourses touched a record high soon after trading began.

It was followed by YES Bank (Rs 110.90 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 94.64 crore), Zee Entertainment (Rs 87.73 crore), Idea Cellular (Rs 86.13 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 80.17 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 69.06 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 55.18 crore) and HDFC (Rs 51.65 crore).

The benchmark indices Nifty50 and Sensex cooled off a bit after registering all-time high at 10,011.30 and 32,374.30, respectively.

The slight fall occurred after selling emerged in IT, pharma and FMCG stocks.

Nifty50 index was 3 points up at 9,970, while the 30-share Sensex was 15 points up at 32,260 around 10.05 am (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Infratel (up 3.08 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 2.08 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.37 per cent), Vedanta (up 1.34 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.03 per cent) and GAIL (up 0.92 per cent) were trading in green.

However, Zee Entertainment (down 2.12 per cent), HCL Tech (down 1.39 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 1.13 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 1.09 per cent), Lupin (down 0.81 per cent), ONGC (down 0.74 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 0.72 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.71 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.63 per cent) were in red.

In the Nifty50 pack, 20 stocks were trading in green, while 30 stocks were in red.

On BSE, 965 stocks were advancing whereas 1,028 stocks were lagging.
