CLOSING BELL: SENSEX, NIFTY FAIL TO LIVE UP
TO EUPHORIA
Market ends flat. Sensex closed 17 points down at 32,228.27, while Nifty was 2 points down at 9,964.55 at day’s end. Idea rallies 6%, Apollo Tyres 5%; Lupin slips 2%.

Paint manufacturer Asian Paints on Tuesday reported 20.23 per cent Year-on-Year fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 440.74 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 against Rs 552.56 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

STOCKS THAT SURGED UP TO 20% TODAY
Shares of Parsvnath Developers (19.80 per cent), Gujarat NRE Coke (19.05 per cent), Esab India (13.96 per cent) and Aurionpro Solutions (12.43 per cent) zoomed up to 20 per cent in Tuesday's trade on NSE, despite the bourses turned cautious in the afternoon session.
Insurance regulator Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has asked Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) to reduce its shareholdings to 15 per cent in the listed companies over the next two years, according to reports.

HERO MOTOCORP GAINS ON DOUBLE-DIGIT
GROWTH EXPECTATIONS
Shares of Hero MotoCorp gained in Tuesday's trade ahead of the company's financial results for the June quarter. According to experts, the two-wheeler major will report double-digit growth in the bottom-line figures. Shares of the company advanced 1.28 per cent to Rs 3,738.50 on BSE. The stock opened at 3,715 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 3,747 and Rs 3,715 till noon.
While analysts see high likelihood of the market remaining choppy at such dizzying height, momentum indicator Moving Average Convergence Divergence, or MACD, showed as many as 81 stocks on BSE have witnessed an upward crossover or bullish crossover, indicating that they are poised for an upward journey.

INDIABULLS HOUSING FINANCE HITS FRESH 52-WEEK HIGH POST
Q1 RESULTS
Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance advanced over 2 per cent and hit their fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,191.65 in early trade on Tuesday after the mortgage lender on Monday posted a 25 per cent rise in the June quarter net at Rs 788.2 crore, supported by higher loan growth, reduction in cost of funds and the cost-to-income ratio.
The stock has been admitted to dealings on the exchange in the list of ‘T’ group of securities. The company, which is into steel fabrication and infrastructure solutions, had received a huge response for its IPO, with the issue getting 273 times subscription.

The Nifty made a Bullish Candle pattern on the daily chart and it’s a matter of time before the index hits the five-digit mark, say analysts. “The index now has to continue to hold above 9,928 to witness a rally towards 10,000, and possibly 10,100. OPEC TO CUT OIL PRODUCTION
Opec moved on Monday to cap Nigerian oil output and called on several members to boost compliance with production cuts to help clear excessive global stocks and support flagging prices. Opec has agreed with several non-Opec producers, led by Russia, to cut oil output by a combined 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd) from January 2017 until the end of March 2018.

MOODY'S RAISES CONCERNS OVER PSBs
The rating agency said that despite receiving Rs 50,000 crore in capital injections under the Indradhanush plan, PSBs remain undercapitalised and burdened by bad debts. “The Indradhanush plan will only provide Rs 20,000 crore of additional capital in the two financial years up to March 2019, which falls short of the amount still required for banks to address solvency challenges and recapitalise themselves,” it noted.

ASIAN MARKETS AWAIT FED CUES
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was flat in early trade, with a number of markets looking for fresh impetus after hitting multi-year highs in recent weeks. Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.3 percent and Australian stocks jumped 0.35 percent, making up some of Monday's 0.6 percent slide. South Korea’s KOSPI was little changed.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index declined 66.9 points, or 0.31 per cent, in overnight trade to close at 21,513. The S&P500 index fell 2.63 points, or 0.11 per cent, to 2,469. The Nasdaq Composite index rose 23.05 points, or 0.36 per cent, to 6,410.

SENSEX ON MONDAY
Buoyed by positive sentiments, the S&P BSE Sensex added 217 points to settle at a fresh closing high of 32,246, with telecom major Bharti Airtel (up 2.15 per cent) being the top gainer and Dr Reddy's (down 2.44 per cent) the worst laggard. NSE’s Nifty50 gained 51 points to end the session at 9,966, just 34 points shy of the historic 10,000 mark. As many as 29 index constituents ended in the green and 22 in the red.
