Market Now: Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel among most active stocks in terms of value

NEW DELHI: Shares of Maruti Suzuki (Rs 186.37 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 111.23 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 96.58 crore), GAIL (Rs 67.85 crore), YES Bank (Rs 62.37 crore), Titan Co. (Rs 57.96 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 57.90 crore), HDFC (Rs 57.86 crore), SBI (Rs 56.64 crore), SAIL (Rs 54.31 crore), DLF (Rs 49.41 crore), Vedanta Ltd (Rs 45.41 crore), UPL Ltd (Rs 40.91 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 35.46 crore) and Tata Steel (Rs 34.56 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value in the early trade on NSE on Friday.

The NSE Nifty was up 63.95 points at 10,230.65 at around 9.50 am (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Infratel (down 1.26 per cent), NTPC (down 0.80 per cent), Asian Paints (down 0.54 per cent), RIL (down 0.45 per cent) and Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 0.44 per cent) were among top losers.

On the other hand, Tata Motors (up 2.03 per cent), Vedanta (up 1.94 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 1.64 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 1.60 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.58 per cent), Wipro (up 1.55 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 1.53 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (up 1.49 per cent) and Hindalco Inds. (up 1.48 per cent) were among top gainers in the index.

Most active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with a highest trading turnover during the day.

Shares of Motor Gen Fin, Sterling Tools, Welspun Invst, Tarmat Ltd, LCC Infotech, Shree Tirupati Balajee FIBC Ltd., Hi Tech Gear, Samtel Color, Greenlam Industries Ltd., Weizmann Ltd, Nagreeka Capital, Graphite India, Urja Global, Khandwala Sec, Prakash Constro are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week high.

On the other hand, SRS Ltd, Steel Exchange, Bharati Ship, KM Sugar Mills, AksharChem Ltd, Sterling Bio, Goenka Diamond, Godrej Consumer stocks hit their new 52-week low in trade so far.
