Market Now: Idea Cellular, SBI among most traded stocks

NEW DELHI: Shares of Idea Cellular (number of shares traded: 0.30 crore), Ashok Leyland (0.21 crore) and State Bank of India (0.20 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of volume on NSE in morning trade on Wednesday.

Shares of DLF (0.20 crore), Bank of Baroda (0.19 crore), Tata Power (0.19 crore), SAIL (0.18 crore), ICICI Bank (0.18 crore), Motherson Sumi (0.17 crore), Punjab National Bank (0.16 crore), YES Bank (0.13 crore) and Titan Company (0.12 crore) were also among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic equity markets opened higher on Wednesday following global cues.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 27.80 points up at 10,355, while BSE Sensex was up 117 points at 33,596 around 09:50 am (IST).

In the Nifty index, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ambuja Cements, Housing Development Finance Corporation, Bajaj Auto and UltraTech Cement were trading among the top gainers.

However, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Bharti Infratel, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank and Bharat Petroleum Corporation were among the top losers.
