Soha recently shared a guilt-free vegan protein rich recipe
You do not need expensive protein bars to improve your protein intake. You also do not need to compromise on being vegetarian either. You do not require meat or splurge a fortune on branded protein bars to get protein. On Instagram, actress Soha Ali Khan shared a simple vegetarian recipe that is high in protein too.

The ‘Rang De Basanti’ star said that Indian women are low on protein and that they do require protein to build muscle. Protein also promotes bone health, boosts immunity, and supports healthy ageing. She shared a great recipe that did not require a lot of time in the kitchen and was completely vegan.

Components:

* 20–25 grams of rolled oats


* One scoop of 25–30 g pea protein powder

* One tablespoon of hemp seeds

* One teaspoon of chia seeds

* One teaspoon of freshly ground flaxseed

* One walnut or two chopped macadamia nuts

* A tiny handful of strawberries or blueberries

* To taste, cinnamon

* If necessary, water or unsweetened plant or nut milk

Method

1. Place the oats in a skillet with water or plant milk and simmer over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until they are tender.

2. Switch off the heat and let it cool a little. By doing this, the protein powder is kept from clumping.

3. Add the pea protein powder gradually until creamy and smooth.

4. Add the flax, chia, and hemp seeds.

5. Add berries and chopped macadamia or walnut on top.

6. Add cinnamon to finish.

Reducing blood pressure

Lowering cholesterol levels

Reducing inflammation

Reducing blood sugar levels

Tocopherols, phytosterols, carotenoids, and polyphenolic chemicals are among the many antioxidants found in chia seeds. Antioxidants are essential for preventing the body from being harmed by free radicals, which can accumulate within the body and cause illness and cell damage.

Chia seeds' antioxidant content may help shield against diabetes, cancer, heart disease, inflammation, and Alzheimer's.
