Xiaomi takes the wraps off its new smart TV line-up with Netflix, Amazon Prime; priced at Rs 54,999

Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi on Tuesday unveiled three new Mi TVs - 4X 65-inch, 4X 50-inch and 4X 43-inch - in India. For the first time, the tech giant's new devices come with Netflix and Amazon Prime support. The new devices will be shipped with Android 9.0. In India, the 4X 65-inch device will be available at an introductory price of Rs 54,999. The 50-inch and 43-inch TVs will be priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 24,999 respectively.

All three TVs will go on sale in India on September 29 and will be available across Flipkart/Amazon, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.

Xiaomi's new TVs come with 4K HDR 10 support to provide a cinematic experience to users. the 43-inch and 4X 50-inch devices support a 4K HDR 10-bit panel. The biggest Xiaomi TV in India, Mi TV 4X 65-inch, supports 4K HDR 10-bit panel with VP.





What's common among all three devices is the sleek design and slim bezels. Besides this, the new smart TVs also feature punchier colours, a deeper contrast and improved picture quality. The 65-inch version is equipped with Wide Colour Gamut (WCG) and MEMC support which can be enabled with a dedicated card.

Keeping in sync with the previous flagships, Xiaomi's new TVs come with its PatchWall 2.0. In terms of sound quality, the TVs boast of 20W speakers Dolby+ DTS-HD to provide a good audio experience.

Other special features on Xiaomi's new smart TV line-up include Data saver feature which is exclusive to Android TVs. The tech giant claims that this feature will allow users to stream three times more and also keep a tab on data usage. It will also allow users to view data usage per app with an in-built data counter. Users can also cast wirelessly to Mi TV 4X without need for an internet connection.

Known for its Mi smart bands, Xiaomi also launched an upgraded Mi Smart Band 4 at Rs 2,299. The new band sports full color AMOLED touch display, smart Music Control, battery life of 20 days on a single charge, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, sleep, activity and swim tracking.



Xiaomi also launched Mi Smart Water Purifier (RO+UV) at Rs 11,999. With minimalistic design, the device boasts of a 5-stage advanced penta purification process and smart app connectivity.
