Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp, who prevailed in the lawsuit filed against ex-wife Amber Heard last month, has been a busy man since the landmark case came to an end.

Depp had sued Heard for libel over a December 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” Depp's lawyers alleged he was defamed by the article even though it never mentioned him by name.

Heard filed counterclaims, alleging that Depp's former lawyer defamed her by publicly characterising her abuse allegations as a hoax.

Rockin' It Out
Celebration for Depp began right after the trial came to an end. The Hollywood star, who was keeping a low-profile ever since the defamation case came to media's attention, appeared on stage next to English guitarist Jeff Beck to perform a series of music covers while he awaited verdict in the matter.

On May 30, Depp took over London's Royal Albert Hall to make an unscheduled appearance at the rock concert. Hours later, the 59-year-old was all over the Internet for his power-packed stage performance.

Fancy Dinner
The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' star threw a massive bash for his friends after winning the court battle against Heard. The actor was spotted at an Indian restaurant in England's Birmingham where the party raked up a bill of $60,000 (around Rs 46.62 lakh).

According to BirminghamLive's report, the actor met his friends including Jeff Beck, an English musician who is at the Birmingham leg of his tour. Depp booked the whole restaurant to himself for a few hours so that he could meet his friends and have some privacy.

The 58-year-old actor showed up at the Indian restaurant with 20 other friends. The restaurant's manager informed the media that Depp was "humble and down to earth" and also spent time chatting with the staff and clicking pictures with them and their families.

Dissolving In Colours
On Thursday, Depp sold a collection of artwork he created of Hollywood and rock icons for around $3.6 million through a UK gallery chain. Several prints by the actor went on sale online at Castle Fine Art which included a portrait of singer Bob Dylan. The collection of prints called 'Friends & Heroes' were sold out in a couple of hours.

The gallery chain later posted a tweet saying that "Johnny Depp broke the internet" and its website had crashed due to demand.

All the prints were marked as "out of stock" by Thursday evening. There were 780 pieces of art.

The jury ordered Heard to pay Depp USD 10 million in compensatory damages and USD 5 million in punitive damages. The punitive damages were reduced to USD 350,000 under a state cap. The jury awarded Heard USD 2 million on her counterclaim.

Much of the testimony during the six-week trial focused on Heard's claims that she had been physically and sexually abused by Depp at least a dozen times. Depp insisted that he never hit Heard and that she was the abuser.
