Varun Dhawan concerned over soil health at new farm
Varun Dhawan, in a conversation with news agency IANS, revealed that his recent visit to the farm left him concerned about the condition of the soil and the lack of essential nutrients. The actor said he learned from farmers that soil today does not contain the same natural nutrients that were available in earlier years.According to Varun, the depletion also extends to seeds, which he said lack important nutrients such as zinc and magnesium. He further pointed to the increasing use of chemicals in farming as another factor affecting soil quality, raising concerns about the impact it could eventually have on the food people consume.
The actor admitted that the situation has been weighing heavily on him and prompted him to seek answers from people involved in farming and food production. He expressed a desire to understand how the deterioration of soil health can be addressed and what measures could help restore its natural nutritional value.
Varun Dhawan shares glimpse of farm
Back in August, Varun offered a glimpse of his farm on social media, expressing happiness at the purchase. The clip captured the actor enjoying tea and biscuits in the middle of the plot. Ditching a fancy caption, Varun simply wrote, ‘I bought a farm.’In the video, Varun said that buying the farm was the ‘biggest achievement’ of his life, adding, ‘I have taken this, and do not ask me why, but to just stand here and have my chai and biscuit in this weather is unbelievable.’
