This is how mother-in-law Neetu, Ranbir's sisters welcomed 'bahu' Alia into the Kapoor clan

Even though it was a grand affair, the wedding of Ranbir and Alia was planned in less than 10 days, revealed Neetu Kapoor's choreographer Rajendra Singh aka Masterji.

From Kareena Kapoor to Karan Johar everyone donned various shades of pink, since it was a day wedding .Saif Ali Khan too joined in the trend.

Although the guest list was very limited, Ambanis, who are very close to the kapoors, were spotted at 'Vastu'. Reportedly the security was beefed up so that Akash Ambani & Shloka can attend the event.

While we do not have details about the gifts that the couple received, a jeweler from Surat had a lovely present for them. The man brought for the stars, a bouquet of gold plated roses.

On the occasion of the couple's wedding, Ayan Mukerji released a song from his upcoming film, 'Brahmastra' to celebrate their union. The team of 'Brahmastra’ wished the newly weds 'love and light'.

For the wedding, chefs were flown in from Delhi and Lucknow and while Indian non-vegetarian delicacies ruled the counters, there were 25 vegan stalls for vegetarians too. The groom's favourite dish, sushi had a separate stall and the bride who is vegan made sure there were vegan burgers.

Alia had no idea that Neetu Kapoor, her mother-in-law, would dance at her mehendi, but the yesteryear actress surprised her as well as Ranbir, when she and her squad performed on songs like 'Mehendi Hai Rachne Waali', 'Dholida', 'Tenu Leke Main Jawaanga' and 'Cutiepie' during the event, revealed Neetu's choreographer, Rajendra Singh.

April 13, the date on which Ranbir-Alia's wedding festivities began is also the date on which, 43 years ago, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor got engaged. The yesteryear actress shared a photo of the event in a nostalgic post, just a few days before her son's wedding.

While a photo of Neetu Kapoor's mehendi with her husband Rishi's name in it, went viral, several members from the Kapoor family and the film industry missed the 'Kapoor and Sons' actor at the event. Rishi Kapoor, who had known that Alia and Ranbir are set to marry soon, passed away in 2020 due to leukemia.
