The most awaited wedding of the year has finally happened as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now officially married. The star couple exchanged wedding vows at Kapoor's 'Vastu' residence in Bandra's Pali Hill area of Mumbai.
The intimate wedding was held in the presence of family members and a few close friends. The couple, who has been in a relationship for almost 5 years, tied the knot in a traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was held not in a big fat Indian wedding spangled with tinsel as many would have imagined but in an intimate way at their Bandra apartment with just family and close friends in attendance.
While there was a lot of buzz around the hush-hush wedding, Kapoor and Bhatt maintained their silence and didn't reveal any details about the wedding until it was over. Once the vows were exchanged, Alia took to her official Instagram account and shared first pictures from her wedding as she made the announcements.

Anushka Sharma, who starred opposite Kapoor in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', shared an Instagram story to wish the couple. "Heart is full wishing you @aliaabhatt and Ranbir, a beautiful journey together filled with love that oozes in these pictures for the rest of your lives," she wrote.
