Before arriving at the wedding venue, Ambani sent his security team to scout the location and make sure it was clear.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor surprised a lot of people as the couple made it official on Thursday. Bollywood's newest power couple tied the knot in a hush-hush and extremely intimate wedding ceremony held on Thursday at the Kapoor residence 'Vastu' in Mumbai's Bandra.
And while there was much speculation about the 'when-and-the-how' of the wedding till the nth minute, it was only a cozy close circle that marked their attendance. As news portals and Instagram accounts speculated on the couple sealing their relationship, the 'Brahmastra' star pair absolutely maintained their silence. As the big day finally came, several big personalities arrived at the 'Vastu' apartment to bless the couple as they enter a new phase of their lives together. Amongst those who attended the wedding were Mukesh Ambani's son Akash Ambani and daughter-in-law Shloka Mehta. The Ambani couple matched their traditional outfits as they followed the suspected theme colour of the wedding - white and floral pink. According to reports, before arriving at the wedding venue, Ambani Jr sent his security team to scout the location and make sure it was clear. TV channels showed the security of Ambani - who is the Director & Head of Strategy at Reliance Jio - monitoring the area and urging the media to stand a little further from the building. An hour later, the 30-year-old arrived with his wife to attend Alia and Ranbir's wedding.
News reports indicate that only around 30-50 guests were invited to attend the wedding, which included the closest friends and family members of Alia and Ranbir.
Apart from the Ambanis, Bollywood biggies such as Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Aadar Jain, Shweta Bachchan, Nikhil Nanda along with daughter Navya Nanda and others were also in attendance at the wedding.
The longtime couple, Alia and Ranbir, wed in typical Punjabi traditions. It was a two-day affair with mehendi held on April 13 and haldi and wedding on April 14.
