Ranbir-Alia wedding: Vegan burger for bride & sushi for groom; pair to make 1st public appearance later this evening

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be man and wife shortly, and here are some details of the very private wedding ceremony that the couple would have at Kapoor’s apartment building, ‘Vastu’: A report in Business Today.in claims that the wedding will have only 28 guests, and despite that, 200 bouncers have been employed to tackle the swarm of paparazzi crowding outside the wedding venue to capture glimpses of the couple’s family, and guests arriving at the event.

A report in India Today also claims that after the pair tie the knot, at approximately 3pm today, they would make their first public appearance as a married couple at around 7 pm this evening. While chefs have been flown in from Lucknow and Delhi to make delicious Lucknowi cuisine like biryani and kebabs, and the wedding spread will include several different kinds of cuisines, and 25 vegan counters so that vegetarians do not run out of choices, the food for the couple today is indeed special too.

Bhatt and her BFF Akansha Ranjan, who are big vegan burger fans have a stall especially for those delish burgers at the wedding, while Kapoor, who loves sushi, has a counter dedicated exclusively to the Japanese dish.

The report states that the groom also had a special request from everyone, especially the DJ, for his wedding. The actor apparently asked everyone to refrain from playing his movie songs during his wedding.

The couple - who had been dating for the past four years - has a big release, ‘Brahmastra’, coming up in September. They fell in love on the sets of this movie, and this is by far one of the biggest projects that they had been a part of; Bhatt and Kapoor will be seen together for the first time on celluloid in this film.
