Alia-Ranbir nuptials: Actor's house 'Vastu' decked up; bride to wear Sabyasachi & wedding menu includes Lucknowi biryani, vegan spread

The wedding bells are ringing loud and clear, despite the conspicuous silence of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on details concerning their nuptials. The buzz of wedding preparations in their respective households is an obvious giveaway that the happy day will definitely arrive sometime this week.

The only confirmation so far, about their wedding date, has come from Bhatt’s uncle, Robin, who said that the festivities is likely to begin on April 13 with the mehndi ceremony, and the couple are likely to exchange vows the next day. However, date or no date, details of this grand Bollywood wedding is trickling in from all quarters and we have the low-down on all possible things — from guestlist, menu and decor to likely honeymoon destination — that you may be interested in knowing. Kebabs, Biryanis to Vegan Counters
It is an open secret that Kapoors have a very innate passion for food. So, for a wedding as significant as the upcoming one, the menu is of utmost importance. If a report in Bollywood Life is to be believed, Kapoor’s mother, Neetu is flying in chefs from Delhi and Lucknow to prepare the most exquisite kebabs and Lucknow style biryani. While the menu sounds heavy on Indian non-vegetarian delicacies, it also offers ample choice for vegetarians.

The media report quoted a source saying that there will be '25 counters only for vegan and vegetarian dishes' as the bride-to-be, Alia Bhatt, is a vegan herself.

Sabyasachi -Manish Malhotra Ensemble For The Bride-To-Be On The D-Day
According to a report, the 'Raazi' actress will don a Sabyasachi lehenga on her D-day, which will be complimented by a custom-made dupatta designed by none other than Manish Malhotra. In recent years, we have seen several B-town brides in Sabyasachi lehenga, including Katrina Kaif who wore a matka silk lehenga made by the designer, during her wedding with Vicky Kaushal.

From The Kapoor Khandan To The Khans of B-town
The Kapoors and Bhatts already have so many celebrities in their families, that any family gathering is likely to be a star-studded affair. However, when the most popular couple of Bollywood and two top stars of the industry — Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt – decide to tie the knot, and that too in Mumbai, it means a constellation will descend at the event.

Currently, the guestlist include film-makers like Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Varun Dhawan, Ayan Mukerji, and Zoya Akhtar. Arjun Kapoor, Masaba Gupta, Manish Malhotra and other close ones from the industry have received the wedding cards as well. Shah Rukh Khan too has been invited. Decorations And Preparations
Several media reports claim that the wedding will take place in three different venues over a period of almost eight days. The tentative venues so far are Kapoor’s home 'Vastu', RK Studio and the family home of the actor, 'Krishna Raj', which is currently being renovated.

So far, paparazzi reported that the RK Studios in Mumbai's Chembur, and the newly-built 'Krishna Raj' bungalow have all been lit up with twinkly lights, just days before the grand wedding. A Mirror Now report also claims that the banquet hall of Kapoor’s Pali Hill residence, 'Vastu', has been booked for eight days.

An African Safari For Honeymoon?
Previously sources had claimed that the couple is likely to celebrate their honeymoon in Switzerland, as Bhatt has a shoot scheduled for her film, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ in the beautiful place, right after the wedding. However, now, according to latest report in India Today, the couple who generally like their jungle safaris and have taken trips to Africa and Ranthambore, may fly out to Africa again for their honeymoon.
