Alia-Ranbir wedding: SRK, Deepika invited for reception party; couple may fly to Swiss Alps for honeymoon

The star couple has been dating since 2018, and there had been several rumours about their wedding in the past as well.
B-town seems to be headed for a big wedding celebration with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt touted to seal the deal later this month. While so far there had been no confirmation from their families or the bride and groom, the media is abuzz with details of how the D-day would pan out for the couple who had been dating for four years.
Reception Guestlist According to a latest report in India Today, the star couple’s reception party would have who’s who of Bollywood in attendance – from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The report cited a source saying that although the wedding would happen mid-April, the couple would host a grand reception for their tinseltown friends by the end of this month.
"Ranbir and Alia's wedding reception will be a lavish affair. Bollywood celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Ayan Mukerji, Aditya Roy Kapur, Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar have been invited to Ranbir and Alia's reception," the source told India Today.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Bachelor’s Party Apart from the reception, details of the going-to-be-groom’s bachelor party have also been going round. Another India Today report states that the actor would have a low-key, ‘impromptu’ bachelor’s party that would be organised by his close childhood and industry friends prior to the wedding. The report claims that Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ayan Mukerji are likely to make Kapoor’s last night as a bachelor a memorable one.
India Today quoted a source saying, "Ranbir is extremely close to Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ayan Mukerji. The actor is planning a bachelor's party at his place. It will be attended by his close buddies from the world of showbiz and his childhood friends. This is Ranbir's way of throwing an impromptu bachelor's party."
In an exclusive interview with an unnamed source close to both the Kapoors and the Bhatts, Times of India found out that the event is going to be a family affair, with only near and dear ones invited. Although a date has not been finalized yet as depending upon senior Razdan’s health condition it is likely to shift back-and-forth, but tentatively the wedding can happen on April 17.
However, another report by Times of India later suggested that the wedding would happen between April 13 to April 17. A Pinkvilla report quoted a source saying that Bhatt would wear Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi outfits for her wedding and pre-events. The couple’s wedding venue is reportedly Kapoor’s ancestral home, RK House, where the ‘Saawariya’ star’s parents – Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor – had tied the knot.

A Times of India report claims that post wedding, in the month of May, Bhatt will shoot a song for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ in Switzerland. The shoot schedule is a week long, and it already has rumour mills buzzing with reports that the ‘Barfi’ star – who would be married to Bhatt by then – will be joining the actress and the couple would celebrate their honeymoon on the sidelines of Bhatt’s shoot.

Bhatt and Kapoor started dating in 2018 when they began filming for 'Brahmastra' together. The film apparently is set in two timeframes. The main story is set in present times where Shiva, a young man with superpowers travels 3000 years back in time to learn about weapons like Brahmastra in order to fulfill a mission. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the magnum opus will release theatrically on September 9 in five Indian languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
