More about Sigma

Sundeep Kishan plays the lead role in Sigma, with Faria Abdullah as the female lead. The cast also features Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan and Yog Japee.

The film has been positioned as a heist action-comedy and revolves around a major racket involving a huge amount of money. Jason Sanjay has directed the movie, while Lyca Productions has backed the project.

Moreover, before the film's release, Jason Sanjay spoke about keeping details of Sigma away from his family. In an interview with Galatta Plus, the filmmaker revealed that he did not share the complete script with his father Vijay or his grandfather, veteran filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar.

Jason explained, "I shared the outline with everyone in my family, but I didn’t go into details because I also want to have them see the film from a fresh point of view. That’s my goal. I think five minutes in, people are going to just watch it as a film. Whatever the criticism I get, whether it’s positive or negative, I think my work will speak for who I am. After the release of Sigma, I think I can start concentrating more on building my identity and using the success of Sigma and the exposure I get from it to build the rest of my career.”

Sigma follows Guru, a rogue treasure hunter and radio host whose life changes after a betrayal costs him everything. He then decides to take on a Rs 500-crore racket controlled by Kotlapadi Veeraiya Reddy.

Unable to confront the syndicate directly, Guru puts together an elaborate heist with his friends and associates. However, a series of betrayals and unexpected twists put the plan at risk.

With its theatrical run now underway, the film's box office performance will determine how it fares in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
