Drishyam 3 box office collection Day 1

The film recorded the collection across 15,759 shows, making it one of the biggest Hindi film openings in recent times. The film's India gross stood at around Rs 80.10 crore, while its India net collection was Rs 66.75 crore. The overseas markets minted another Rs 15 crore, taking the film's reported worldwide gross collection to approximately Rs 95.10 crore on its opening day.

Drishyam 3 beats early box office expectations
The opening has also gone well beyond the initial trade expectations. Before release, early estimates had suggested that Drishyam 3 could open somewhere between Rs 25 crore and Rs 30 crore. However, the film's advance booking picked up pace ahead of its release, leading trade estimates to rise. The franchise already had a strong audience base after the success of the first two films, and the arrival of the final chapter added to the curiosity around the film.
The release date also worked in its favour, with the film arriving on Gandhi Jayanti. The combination of a national holiday, a poetic justice to the date, a popular franchise and strong advance bookings helped the film record a much larger opening than initially expected.

This was higher than the reported peak of 68,000 tickets per hour recorded by Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan in 2023.With Rs 66.75 crore net on Day 1, Drishyam 3 also surpassed the reported opening-day collections of Dhurandhar at Rs 30 crore, Pathaan at Rs 57 crore and Ranbir Kapoor's Animal at Rs 63 crore.
