At the Unpacked event in San Francisco, Samsung not only launched its Galaxy S10 range of smartphones but also a bunch of new accessories. The company announced new Galaxy Buds true wireless earbuds and two new fitness wearables.
The Galaxy Buds are Samsung’s latest wireless earbuds with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The earbuds audio has been tuned for Sound by AKG and it has adaptive dual microphones for reducing background noise, Enhanced ambient sound support and integration with Bixby. Weighing just 49 grams for each earbud, Samsung says that the earbuds can deliver up to 6 hours of music playback and 5 hours of call on a single charge.
The big highlight of the Galaxy buds is that it supports wireless charging.
When used with the charging case, the earbuds can offer a total of 13 hours of music playback and 11 hours of talk time which is amongst the best available on true wireless earbuds. This means that using the new Wireless Power Share feature on the Galaxy S10 devices, you can charge the Galaxy buds by just placing them on the back of the S10 smartphone. Priced at US$ 129.99, the Earbuds will go on sale starting 8th March 2019 and are expected to be launched in India along with the S10 range next month.

Foldable phones have been the talk of the tech town for months now. In December last year, Samsung hinted towards the launch of such a device at its upcoming event. The tech giant kept its promise and kicked-off the 'Unpacked' event with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Fold. Out of the two, the Galaxy Watch Active has a 1.1 full colour circular display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and it is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Weighing just 25 grams, the watch is water resistant and has support for wireless charging using the S10 range of smartphones. Hardware specifications include Exynos 9110 Dual-core 1.15 GHz, 768MB RAM, 4GB storage and 230mAh battery. The watch runs Tizen based Wearable OS 4.0 and comes with a number of features including heart rate monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, automatic and manual exercise tracking, and real-time coaching. The Galaxy Active watch is priced at US$ 199 and will go on sale starting 8th March 2019.

Samsung also launched a new Galaxy Fit fitness tracker priced at US$ 99.99. It has a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED display with a 120 x 120-pixel resolution. The fit runs Realtime OS and has Bluetooth connectivity. It is water resistant, has a heart rate tracker, sleep tracking with analysis and supports automatic plus manual exercise tracking. The band is also capable of showing notification from a connected smartphone. A cheaper variant called the Galaxy Fit e was also showcased that has a smaller 0.76-inch PMOLED display and 70mAh battery. Like the Galaxy Fit this one can also track your fitness, heart rate, sleep and is water resistant. No details were shared regarding its price and availability. The Galaxy Fit, on the other hand, will be available from 31st May 2019 internationally and we are not sure if it would be launched in India or not.
