Sabdham OTT release: Where to watch the film
Sabdham is currently streaming on ZEE5. The film has arrived on the platform more than a year after its theatrical release, and is also accessible to subscribers via OTTplay Premium. As of now, the movie is available in Tamil. The platform quietly rolled out the film this week, and it is expected to draw attention from horror fans who often look for such titles on streaming rather than theatres.
The film brings back actor Aadhi Pinisetty and director Arivazhagan Venkatachalam together after their earlier collaboration Eeram. That film had received strong response from both critics and audiences, so naturally there were some expectations from Sabdham as well.
However, things turned out differently this time. The film had an average run in theatres and received mixed reactions. With its OTT release now, it might find a wider audience, especially among those who enjoy watching supernatural thrillers at home.
What is Sabdham about
The story follows Ruben, a paranormal investigator, who is called in after a series of unexplained deaths take place in a medical college. There is fear among students and staff, with many suspecting something beyond normal explanation.Ruben teams up with a doctor who does not believe in ghosts. As they both try to get to the bottom of what is happening, the investigation slowly opens up older secrets linked to the place. The film moves between science, sound-based experiments and supernatural elements, trying to build a layered mystery.
The narrative also shows how the line between logic and belief starts to blur as more incidents come to light.
Cast and performances
Apart from Aadhi Pinisetty, the film features Lakshmi Menon, Simran, Laila, Redin Kingsley, M. S. Bhaskar and Rajiv Menon in key roles.Aadhi carries most of the film on his shoulders, playing a calm and composed investigator. Lakshmi Menon’s character brings a practical angle to the story, while Simran and Laila appear in important parts that connect to the mystery.
Director Shankar had also praised the film’s technical aspects, especially the sound design and the way certain sequences were handled.
