'RRR' wins Best International Film honour at Saturn Awards 2022; earns Rs 2.5 cr in 3 days in Japan
This is the second Saturn Award for SS Rajamouli.

The film which was recently released in Japan has won a prestigious international honour at the Saturn Award 2022. The award ceremony was held in Los Angeles on October 25. This is the first international award for the blockbuster film that went on to gross over Rs 1200 crore worldwide.
The official Twitter account of the Saturn Awards shared a short video where the film-maker can be seen expressing his gratitude to the jury and the organisers. Rajamouli thanked the viewers and other winners in a video message which was broadcast during the event.
I am so glad that our film 'RRR' has won the Saturn Awards in the Best International Film category. I thank the jury on the behalf of our entire team. We are super elated. This is also the second Saturn Award for my films. The first one, I won for 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. I wish I was there in person, but due to my prior commitments with regard to 'RRR's release in Japan, unfortunately, I was not able to attend. I would like to congratulate all the other winners, hope you all are having a great time, have fun. Namaste!" said Rajamouli.

Meanwhile, the film which had a Diwali release in Japan has already entered the Top 10 chart. According to noted film trade analyst, Ramesh Bala, ‘RRR’ grossed over 44 million Yen which is about Rs 2.5 crore in the first two days since its release.
