Ravi Shankar Prasad visits Sushant Singh Rajput's father & family in Patna, pays floral tribute to actor
Prasad was on a two-day tour of Bihar which is his Lok Sabha constituency.

NEW DELHI: Nearly a week after Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday paid a visit to the Bollywood actor's Patna residence in Rajiv Nagar.
The IT Minister took to Twitter to share two images from his visit. In one picture, he was seen talking to the 34-year-old actor's father KK Singh and other family members, and in the other, he paid floral tribute to Rajput.
In his tweet, the 65-year-old law minister expressed grief that the 'super talented' actor had to meet an unfortunate end. He also said that the film industry lost a creative actor with great promise. "He had to achieve great heights. He deserved more," he added.
According to a PTI report, the minister shared his personal memories of meeting with the late actor during the oath-taking ceremony in May 2019 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Prasad, who reached Patna on Thursday for the first time after the lockdown, is on a two-day tour of Bihar which is his Lok Sabha constituency.
Rajput's 'Asthi Visarjan' (ashes immersion) rituals was performed at the Gandhi ghat, a few kilometres from the late actor's Rajiv Nagar residence. A day after he was found dead in his Bandra apartment, he was cremated at the Vile Parle crematorium, Mumbai amidst heavy downpours in the presence of family members and close friends from the film and television industry.
