On Monday, a day after Rajput’s demise, Tandon took to Twitter to condole his death. The 45-year-old actress validated the existence of Bollywood camps and the ‘mean girl gang’ of the industry that are often spoken of in hushed tones.
Sharing her experience, the ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ actress wrote that she has been made fun of, removed from films by heroes, their girlfriends, ‘journo chamchas’ and their fake media stories. ‘Sometimes, careers are destroyed. Several industry insiders, like actor Vivek Oberoi, actress Kangana Ranaut, producer Nikhil Dwivedi and others had called out the industry for its insensitivity, especially to outsiders, post-Rajput’s demise.
Known for films like 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' and 'Kedarnath', Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. Initial reports suggested that the actor had allegedly died of suicide. No suicide note was found in Rajput’s apartment. His post-mortem report said that he had died of asphyxiation.
