Ram Charan celebrates Team India T20 win over Australia, throws a party for Hardik Pandya & others

Ranveer Singh, who is an absolute powerhouse of energy took the IPL stage during the closing ceremony and delivered an electric and high-octane performance the highlight of which was the actor paying tribute to recent southern hits like ‘KGF 2’ and ‘RRR’.

The star not only mouthed Yash’s most popular dialogues from ’KGF’ but also danced to ‘Dheere Dheere’ during his 15-minute-long performance.

Cricketer Shubman Gill, who hit the last six of the IPL and helped Gujarat Titans win the IPL trophy roared loud and clear as the ball made its way to the stands.

While the crowds were ecstatic with joy, as Gujarat Titans clinched victory in their home ground, Gill’s celebration after the final ball landed was a moment to love and cherish and reminiscent of how Virat Kohli likes to celebrate. Gill took his helmet off, and let out a loud roar before rushing over to hug David Miller.

Hardik Pandya seemed a changed man during this entire IPL season. His behaviour was tempered and he showed extreme restraints on the field. In fact, after Shubman Gill hit the sixer and all the other teammates of Gujarat Titans rushed to hug Gill, Pandya only smiled as Gujarat Titans clinched the trophy.

After exchanging pleasantries in the field post win, he made his way to his wife, Natasa Stankovic, and gave her a long loving hug about which the internet has not stopped gushing over. Both Pandya and Stankovic seemed emotional during the hug, and it showed that the victory Pandya had been waiting for, was finally his.

AR Rahman also took to the stage during the closing ceremony of IPL along with Ranveer Singh and delivered a hair-raising performance with patriotic numbers like ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Jai Ho’.

Rahman, however, wasn’t alone, but was joined by talented musicians like Benny Dayal, Mohit Chauhan, Neeti Mohan, and Shweta Mohan, among others. Led by the Oscar-winning composer, the artistes performed Rahman’s most soul-stirring song, ‘Vande Mataram’ during the event.

All the commentators who kept IPL interesting for so many weeks were dressed to the nines for the final day. They rocked desi outfits with men wearing sherwanis which like last year inspired many memes.

The best thing was the return of Ravi Shastri in the commentary box. The 60-year-old ex-cricketer had the Gujarat crowd at ‘Kem cho Ahmedabad?’ and was mostly heard doing Hindi commentary.
