Rahul Bajaj gets a special tribute, creative shows Amul girl riding 'Hamara Bajaj' with late business leader

Dairy brand Amul, known for its witty and cheeky creatives, got nostalgic during the weekend after the death of Rahul Bajaj, Chairman Emeritus of Bajaj Auto.

In a black-and-white creative, Amul paid a tribute to "one of India’s most dynamic and respected industrialists."

In the doodle, the late 84-year-old business leader could be seen riding 'Humara Bajaj' with the Amul girl, as the tagline read - "Mera, uska, unka, inka, hamara Bajaj."

Last year in April, Bajaj resigned from the position of the Non-Executive Director and Chairman at the auto company owing to his age after spending nearly five decades at the helm of the firm.

Earlier this month, the Gujarat-based company had paid a tribute to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar after she passed away on February 6 at the age of 93.


The topical cartoon featured three images of the celebrated singer in a monochromatic post.

Honouring the Nightingale of India, the dairy brand wrote, "Hum jahan jahan chalengye apka saaya sath hoga (Your legacy will forever stay)," in reference to her memorable song 'Tu Jahan Jahan Chlega,' from 1966 cult classic 'Mera Saaya'.

Mangeshkar's last rites were conducted at Shivaji Park on February 6 in Mumbai with full state honours.

Several celebrities and prominent personalities were present including B-town stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Vidya Balan along with her producer-husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, singer Anuradha Podwal, musician Shankar Mahadevan, Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, Piyush Goyal and Sharad Pawar.

Two-day national mourning was also observed in her memory.
