My first bike “I bought my first bike — a black coloured Rajdoot 175 cc — in 1982, from a showroom in Tardeo, Mumbai. [At the time] My wife worked for Bharat Petroleum and wanted to gift me a bike, so she took out a loan from the office for Rs 18,000 [the cost of the bike].
In 1994, my mom told me that as an only child and with a family of my own, she didn’t want me to ride anymore, so I gifted the bike to my cousin.”
Favourite first bike memory “My wife, two kids and I once went on a joyride from Pedder Road to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali and back. The younger one was in my wife’s lap and the elder one in front.”
