What is the one thing that drives this CEO? His bike. Bala Parthasarthy, the CEO of MoneyTap, counts biking as a passion. So naturally, he has many stories to tell from his road trips.

“I recently did a 10-day ride to Tibet, covering nearly 3,500 km. We passed through the holy city of Lhasa, high deserts, the Everest base camp and a bunch of pristine lakes, rivers and mountains,” Parthasarthy said, recalling one such trip.

The Tibet sojourn, he added, was one among the many he takes each year with a group of eight biker friends. “We do this once a year — head to an exotic country, rent big bikes and go around. But Tibet was perhaps our most adventurous trip of all,” he said.

The biking trips are all about the adrenaline rush, but also a chance to go technology-free. “These trips untether me from my phone, email and the hustle of running a startup. I use that time for myself,” he said.
