MUMBAI: German sports car manufacturer Porsche has launched the latest generation of their flagship SUV model, Cayenne, in India starting at a base price of Rs.1.19 crores. The SUV will be available in three variants: Cayenne, Cayenne E-hybrid and Cayenne Turbo.
“Since its initial launch, the Cayenne has been one of our most popular models in India, and I have no doubt that the third generation will continue this success story,” Pavan Shetty, director, Porsche India said.
The supercar comes with additional features such as enhanced chassis systems, rear-axle steering, mixed-size tyres, and intelligent assistance systems. The petrol versions of Cayenne -the Cayenne and the Cayenne Turbo - will come with a choice of V6 and V8 engines offering 340hp and 550hp respectively. While the Cayenne Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.9 seconds, the Cayenne can do the same in 5.9 seconds. The Cayenne Turbo is priced at Rs.1.91 crore ex-showroom.
The latest Cayenne E-Hybrid version, priced at Rs.1.58 crore, produces 462hp and with a fully charged battery can travel up to 44kms at a top speed of 135km/h in all-electric mode.
