“It’s important to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Only a person with good health and fitness will be able to live their life to its fullest. My work involves a lot of travel to different parts of the country. So it’s important that I remain physically fit. Every morning, I spend an hour gymming and meditating. This helps me maintain a healthy body.

“While travelling, it’s also important to maintain and follow a healthy diet. I love kickboxing and horse riding as well. Kickboxing, especially, helps me pump up energy whenever I am stressed at work. Exercise is a way of releasing stress through intense physical activity. Horse riding, on the other hand, is inherently relaxing, more than watching TV. It helps me improve my state of mind.”

“Sports is the best way to relax your body and mind. Reading and writing also calm me. I love to pen down my thoughts or read newspapers and magazines in my spare time. I have written a coffee table book on the life of truck drivers. When I was in the process of structuring my thoughts for the book, I experienced a phase where my mind went through excitement, euphoria and satisfaction.”

“It is important to find peace. Doing mediation and yoga in the morning helps me to connect with my mind and soul. Being spiritual is more important than being religious. The best thing for your soul is to find the right balance between work and life.

“At work, I have been fortunate enough to help rural children change their way of living. It gives me satisfaction to see a student, who’s trained by us, helping his/her family financially or living their dreams. It’s a beautiful feeling that I strive to experience more often.”
