Divya Jain, CEO of Safeducate feels travel is not simply ticking off countries but more about experiencing life differently. To realise this, Jain learnt Tai Chi from a grand master in Shanghai. Speaking to ETPanache about it, Jain said, “I discovered Tai Chi on a retreat to Shanghai where we were trained by Grand Master Wang on the basic techniques of the Wang style of Tai Chi.”

The martial art form has always fascinated Jain. She felt that it was a fantastic way to spend time with the locals and also understand more about the history and culture of China.

The training has helped her in her personal life too, she says. “Tai Chi was more about harnessing your internal chi or energy force. It requires immense focus, patience and also practice. It is a beautiful art form, almost a therapeutic dance, where you are letting yourself loose and becoming one with the energy forces that surround you.”
