Inspiration for a new product or innovation can come from anywhere — even from a little child — as billionaire Anand Mahindra recently found out. The Mahindra Group chairman tweeted a photo of an interesting letter he received from a little girl in Mumbai.

Tired of the incessant honking in Indian metros, the 11-year-old politely requested Mahindra to tweak the horn feature in Mahindra cars to help reduce noise pollution. “I have a suggestion that you can only honk five times in 10 minutes and the honk will only last for three seconds. In this way, our roads will be quieter,” she wrote.

Mahindra was so touched by the letter that he tweeted: “At the end of a tiring day, when you see something like this in the mail... the weariness vanishes...I know I’m working for people like her, who want a better—and quieter world!”.
