For the love of peace: Anand Mahindra wants to find the quietest place in India

According to the businessman, any visit to the ‘quiet spots’ will count as a check on his bucket list.

Struggling to find a place to escape to in 2019? Look no further than Anand Mahindra’s Twitter timeline.

A couple of months ago, the Mahindra group chairman issued a challenge, inviting followers to share their recommendations of the most contemplative spaces in India.

“We’re a noisy country & I wonder if we have info on which is the quietest place in India?” he tweeted. “Would be good if we could spark off competition to see which state/district/town could sustain locations that rank amongst the quietest in India.”




Since then, the businessman has religiously retweeted his favourite suggestions. “Today’s bucket list entry. #OffTheBeatenTrack I’m embarrassed. I didn’t know about Majuli. Just googled it. These posts have been an eye opener for me. Apart from the beautiful pics, an invaluable geography lesson about my own country...”
