Manushi Chhillar on a signing spree, joins John Abraham in action thriller 'Tehran'

Beauty queen Manushi Chhillar, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Samrat Prithviraj' alongside Akshay Kumar, will now be seen starring opposite actor John Abraham in the upcoming movie 'Tehran'.

The action thriller is inspired by true events and marks the feature directorial debut of adman Arun Gopalan. The project will be produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.

On Tuesday, the makers of the film took to Twitter to announce the news. In the post shared by the production banner, the 2017 Miss World could be seen holding a gun and posing with Abraham in her short chic hair.


Maddock Films tweet read, "Our Tehran family gets bigger & better. Welcoming the very talented & gorgeous Manushi Chhillar to the team!"


Sharing the news on Twitter, the 25-year-old said that she was 'super excited' to be part of 'Tehran'.

"This journey is going to be really special," she added.


'Tehran' is written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma. The movie is a Maddock Films production in association with Bake My Cake Films.

Besides Vijan, Shobhna Yadav and Sandeep Leyzell are also credited as producers of the film.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Chillar had signed a big-ticket action entertainer. She will travel to Europe - the UK, France and other parts - for the initial shoot.

For the film, the model-actress has to undergo rigorous training for her action avatar. "It is an ambitious project and the makers wanted to cast a new face with a great on-screen personality. Manushi fit the bill to a T. This will be the third film in her filmography," a source was quoted as saying to IANS.

Chillar has signed another project too. She will be seen sharing screen space with actor Vicky Kaushal in the upcoming film 'The Great Indian Family'.
